Labor Movie Night “Partners” Ultra-topical!

Join us on Thursday evening, December 4th at 7 pm, at the SEIU-521 Hall, 2302 Zanker Road, for a screening of “Partners.” This documentary screening couldn’t be more timely, given that the Starbucks Workers United-led strike wave has reached San José!
The full title of the film: “Partners: A Film About How Starbucks Baristas Started a Labor Revolution.” Yes, this is a Gen-Z led labor revolution! A union struggle breaking new ground in a gig-work dominated industry.
This screening will be special in several ways: we will have a SWU strike leader with us, to discuss and answer questions. We will have baristas and SWU staff joining us from the area, including Santa Cruz, where the strikes began in California. And we will be able to build support right there and then, to support the on-going strikes in San José.
Food and drink will also be on hand. Make plans to attend, and help spread the word!
