DESCRIPTION:At DSA\, we believe a better world is possible. But the only way this can happen is if we organize together as members of the working class to restructure society based on human needs. DSA is the largest socialist organization in the United States\, but we have to grow even larger to change our society. One barrier to growth is lack of knowledge about socialism in general and DSA as an organization specifically. \nWhat is socialism? How can we achieve it? What projects does Silicon Valley DSA work on? How is our chapter structured to do work? How can I get involved? We are running a DSA 101 event where we will answer these questions and any others that you bring. This event is open to the public\, and we encourage non-members to get involved and come with any questions. \nThe event will be held at SEIU 521 Union Hall on Saturday\, December 5th from 6:30PM-7:30 PM. \nJoin us for an after-101 social! DESCRIPTION:RSVP here!\nThe 2025 Silicon Valley DSA Annual Chapter Convention will be held on Saturday\, April 12th from 12:00 – 4:00 PM. This is our biggest meeting of the year! From 12:00 – 1:00 PM we will have a mixer with catered lunch\, and from 1:00 – 4:00 PM we will discuss our goals and vision for the year\, hear from all our working groups and elect a new slate of Officers. It is also a great opportunity to meet with comrades\, have fun and find new ways to get involved in our work.
