The event will be held in the Maple Room of the Mountain View Community Center at 201 S Rengstorff Ave. \nThe event will consist of a panel discussion bringing together three experienced local organizers. One member is active in the fight against the ICE processing facility being illegally constructed in Gilroy. One member is active fighting against the data center planned for South County. One member is active in the fight against mass surveillance and automated license plate readers. Both have been heavily protested\, and while on the surface seem like distinct efforts\, the artificial intelligence boom and the growth of surveillance and the deportation pipeline are deeply interrelated. In Gilroy\, we have an example of both being constructed at this very moment.
