DESCRIPTION:Silicon Valley DSA holds quarterly leadership retreats so we can take a big picture view of our ongoing organizing work. We will hold a retreat at the SEIU 521 Union Hall on November 8 from 9AM-1PM. DESCRIPTION:Come join the International Solidarity Working Group and participate in a No Appetite for Apartheid canvass in San Jose! We’ll be meeting in front of San Jose City Hall. \nNo Appetite for Apartheid is a national campaign that follows the principles of the Boycott\, Divestment\, Sanctions (BDS) movement to reduce US support for Israeli apartheid and genocide against Palestinians. The campaign urges local small businesses to stop carrying Israeli food products and educates community members about supporting Palestine by boycotting Israeli products\, a time-tested consumer tactic used against states perpetrating injustice. During our canvass\, we’ll be visiting businesses in San Jose and asking them to drop Israeli food products as well as to put up a flyer showing the community their support for Palestinians. \nIf you’re interested in attending this event and want to know more details\, join our Google Group here to get in contact with the organizers!
