This March 1st also marks 106 years since the March 1st Movement\, which ignited Korea’s fight for independence from Japanese occupation. \n Cultural protest against U.S. War Games in Korea!\nSat\, 3/1\, 1-4pm at the Comfort Women Memorial in SF (located in the back of St Mary’s Square park: 651 California St\, San Francisco\, CA 94108).This mobilization will uplift cultural resistance against US imperialism through a collective jesa (제사) (altar)\, pungmul (풍물)(drum) performance\, live screen printing\, a collective art activity\, and words from local organizers in the Bay Area. You are invited to wear white to honor our martyrs in the collective struggle\, as well as contribute to our jesa via mementos and photos. DESCRIPTION:Putting the social back into Socialism. \nOur February Membership Phonebank was a raging success! Multiple members signed up\, and we had a great community experience. Shout out to Wren for providing the pizza! \nBut our chapter still has many lapsed members. That means lots of people once signed up for DSA and for whatever reason are no longer contributing dues. DSA is entirely funded by member dues\, if we wanna do cool stuff we need as many members contributing as possible. \nIts very common dues lapse not intentionally but because someone signed up for a “Yearly Dues” and it never renews. These are great people to reconnect with and plug back into the movement for Socialism. This March 1st also marks 106 years since the March 1st Movement\, which ignited Korea’s fight for independence from Japanese occupation. We will be planning the drip irrigation system\, moving plants and soil\, lowering the pantry box\, as well as general garden maintenance! Be sure to bring gloves\, a hat\, earplugs\, and sunscreen! If you have tools for precision sawing and drilling or a shovel\, they will be needed!

DESCRIPTION:Join Silicon Valley DSA\, South Bay Mutual Aid\, San Jose Food Not Bombs and Art Pocket SJ\, for a really really free goods event in the San Jose Peace and Justice Center parking lot. We’ll have cleaning supplies\, clothes\, fresh produce\, fire preparedness kits\, menstrual products\, zines\, and more available so that people can take what they need\, for free. \nSet up begins at 2 to 2:30 PM.  The Free Store will run from 3:30 to 6:00 PM and clean up will go from 6-7 PM~.  Please wear a mask to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases. \nFeel free to bring and leave items you want to donate\, but don’t bring more than 50 pounds of items\, or items that won’t fit into a 2×2 box. \nWe look forward to seeing you! \nLocation Details\nSan Jose Peace & Justice Center Parking Lot\n48 S. 7th Street\nSan Jose CA 95112 \nParking \nThere is street parking and parking garages close by on 4th street.
