DESCRIPTION:The Labor WG of Silicon Valley DSA invites all labor-interested folks to join us in attending the screening of “American Agitators\,” which won the Best Documentary award at Cinequest in San Jose this year! In the words of one review\, it “chronicles the life and teachings of Fred Ross\, Sr.\, who understood that inequality leads to injustice. Inspiring a new generation of activists to organize for systemic change\, the film shows how collective action can combat racism\, bigotry\, and greed.” \nFree admission. \nCome join your Labor WG comrades in solidarity with the South Bay Labor Council\, as we build a stronger relationship between our chapter and organized labor. \nAnd stay tuned for a later screening\, by the Labor Working Group\, of “Union\,” the documentary of the fight for the Amazon Labor Union. DESCRIPTION:Labor is rising in the South Bay–and we need to be partners in the struggle. \nPlease come to the Labor Working Group meeting at 6:30 on Tuesday the 30th (zoom link below)\, whether you are a longtime WG member\, or new to DSA\, and/or labor friendly. \nWe are gearing up to support the struggle of Starbucks workers–find out details at the meeting. We are salting–find out more\, and join that effort if you can. Other workplaces do and will need our help to form unions. \nWe are planning a screening (on October 16th) of “Union\,” which shows the fight to form an Amazon union.
