SUMMARY:TELL TARGET: ICE OUT! SOLIDARITY ACTION FOR MINNESOTA
DESCRIPTION:What is happening in Minnesota wouldn’t be possible without the complicity or enablement of Trump’s corporate backers. Despite countless immigrant families ripped apart\, American citizens killed in our streets\, many corporations continue to support him. Refusing to take a stand with our communities and frequently directly supporting ICE. We are standing up to stop this regime of terror. To win\, we need companies like Target to use their influence to force the administration to end the occupation of our cities\, and not bring their chaos anywhere else. \nTarget is Minnesota’s leading corporate citizen. It is the 4th largest employer in the state. Minnesota’s sports teams play in stadiums and jerseys with Target’s logo on them. Where Target leads\, others follow. Target donated $1\,000\,000 to Trump’s inauguration\, rolled back DEI initiatives\, and has reportedly allowed ICE to stage operations in its parking lots. On January 8th Customs and Border Patrol assaulted and kidnapped two US citizens while they were working a shift at the Richfield\, MN Target store. For weeks\, Target remained silent while the community it calls home were terrorized\, abducted\, and killed. After the killing of Alex Pretti\, Target finally broke their silence and joined on to a statement from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce alongside 60 major Minnesota corporations. That statement called for “cooperation” between state and federal government\, an incredibly alarming call given that Attorney General Pam Bondi has clarified what “cooperation” would entail: granting the DOJ access to Minnesota voter rolls and other tools of federal overreach in the name of “ending the chaos” this administration\, violently created. \nJoin us in calling on Target to stand FIRMLY with Minnesotans against these attacks. All week\, starting February 11th\, we are showing up to Target stores\, holding sit ins and candlelight vigils across the front doors\, coming together to demand better. If they’re willing to kick community members out for sitting inside\, they should be ready to kick out the immigration agents terrorizing our communities. \nWe are demanding that Target: \n\nPublicly call for an immediate end to the ICE “surge” into MN and for ICE & Border Patrol to leave the state.\nAffirm Target as a 4th Amendment Workplace. (Exercise their 4th Amendment rights and publicly post signage denying entrance to immigration agents who do not have signed judicial warrants as required by law\, as well train staff on how to respond when immigration agents arrive at stores.)\nPublicly call to shut down Trump’s ICE. Lobby congress for no federal funding for ICE in the upcoming Congressional budget and ICE should be investigated for human and Constitutional violations of Americans and our neighbors.\nDemand any federal officer who kills or harms a civilian be held legally accountable. That starts with legitimate investigations and charges by local officials.\n\nWe recognize and honor the incredible work done by the Target Boycott Campaign regarding the company’s removal of DEI initiatives and are in solidarity with the campaign led by black grassroots organizers in Minnesota. We support the ongoing boycott\, which continues until their demands are met.

SUMMARY:Stop the War on Iran
DESCRIPTION:AN JOSE ACTION – NATIONAL DAY OF PROTEST MONDAY\, MARCH 2 \nEarlier today\, the Trump administration along with Israel launched an unprovoked\, illegal war on Iran. Immediately\, people hit the streets to express the majority sentiment in this country: we reject another endless war for regime change! \nContinue the anti-war outpouring this Monday as part of a coordinated day of action! Initial co-sponsors of this day of protest include: ANSWER Coalition\, The People’s Forum\, NIAC\, Democratic Socialists of America\, Palestinian Youth Movement\, American Muslims for Palestine\, Black Alliance for Peace\, CODEPINK\, About Face\, and Center for Conscience and War. \nThis conflict has the potential to quickly expand into a devastating regional war which will bring unthinkable death and destruction. SUMMARY:Standford 5 - Pack the Court
DESCRIPTION:ACTION ALERT! PACK THE COURT & RALLY FOR THE STANFORD11: DEFENSE FILES MOTION TO RECUSE SANTA CLARA COUNTY DA’s OFFICE \nThe trial against 5 of the Stanford 11 ended in a mistrial last month. Despite the fact that the state has failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that these activists committed anything other than a protest against Stanford’s complicity in genocide\, it only took DA Rosen 30 minutes to announce that he would be trying the case again. \nThe defense has filed a motion to disqualify DA Rosen and his office from the Stanford 11 felony protest case\, arguing that they will not receive a fair trial with Rosen’s prosecution. \nThis is the moment to continue to show up. Prosecution’s allegiance to a foreign war criminal cannot be allowed to influence their targeting of student protesters. As the US continues to escalate its imperialist aggression abroad\, we will all need to fight to protect out right to dissent at home. \nA packed courtroom sends a clear message: the Bay Area stands against fascist lawfare. We stand in support of our right to protest\, no matter how hard the state tries to isolate\, intimidate\, and criminalize student resistance. \nShare\, Show Up\, and Bring a Friend or Two! \nLocation Details\nSan Jose Hall of Justice\n190-200 W.
