Fight PG&E at the CPUC

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC- the entity that is supposed to regulate PG&E) is voting on whether to approve PG&E’s plan to exit bankruptcy. If PG&E is allowed to exit bankruptcy, they will continue to exist as a murder corporation, putting profit over people’s lives. They have a terrible track record, from a gas line explosion in San Bruno, to the inferno that burned through Paradise. It’s unclear whether this vote will take place on the 21st or 28th. Even if the vote doesn’t occur on the 21st, the more sustained pressure we put on the CPUC, the more likely they do not approve PG&E’s plan.
If PG&E’s plan is not approved by the CPUC, it is likely that they will be unable to exit bankruptcy, and may be bought by the state- becoming a public utility 🌱🌎🌹
